The problem fixed itself after I reinstalled the OS =) It was a new laptop
anyway so reinstallation was quick.

can you do a ps -A and take a look at the process list to see what driver
is installed for your wireless card. Mine is ipw3945 and there are known
issues with WPA and this driver. Maybe your using the same driver?

dpkg-reconfigure needs to be fixed so it worked as before. OpenLDAP is
