Upstream has a lot of these C++ parsing bugs (some of them triggered by
other parts of boost). Most of them seem to be resolved. Unfortunately
without giving specific commit revisions.

in the grub menu (I get 100 error messages, but it seems to work ok).

I just applied the debian/ directory from the current package to these new
sources, rebuilt it and installed the resulting .deb on my Ubuntu machine.

In my network NFS isn't reliable any more.
Access from the notebook via Samba fails also.
I agree with the classification high for this bug. But I can't
understand, why it isn't assigned to anybody after 6 weeks.

now i did this the other way round:
removed all ubuntu-repos from my sources.list (after backing it up :D),
added the beryl-repos posted above, did a apt-get clean (forgot to
mention it above), apt-get update, installed beryl and everything works
like a charm.
so actually: it's the original
meh, went awry after a few seconds of doing real work and not just
clicking the affected menus.
another side-affect is that the menu icons of affected menus sometimes don't
appear.

Updating to Debian package 1.0-rc1-4 (dated Dec 27, 2006) will fix this as RPy

recognises R 2.4.1.
While at it, update to 1.0-rc1-5 which fixes an annoying bug with x11
updates occassionally crashing rpy.

(yeah, well...erm, it's useful :D) just to notice it's gone (yeah, i
fixed the fstab entry manually and, whoops, there it was), so no big
problem, still the update-process should just handle this somehow.

The package libpam-ssh 1.92-14ubuntu1 from Oneiric Ocelot installs
pam_ssh.so into /usr/lib instead of /lib/security. It's thus not found
by PAM and no ssh-agent is started and no ssh key decrypted. As a
workaround, I created a symlink to make it work.

After editing something in CCSM the unity dash and panels quit and compiz
segfaults - i can restore desktop usability
with
DISPLAY=:0.0 compiz --replace
an tty1 (ctrl-alt-f1)
After
unity --replace
in a terminal window on the repared session , the screen corrupts again
Did you try the 64bit one?
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:sevenmachines/flash
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install flashplugin64-installer
