Experiencing intermittent system freezes. The screen displays repeated
diagonal pattern. Sometimes I can reboot via REISUB but typically no
mouse or keyboard input is recognised and reset button required to
reboot.
Problem appears to occur with nouveau rendering using
I'm using a new ThinkPad E495 laptop with a "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad"
and Xubuntu 18.04.4 with the current HWE kernel "5.3.0-28-generic" and I
had a similar issue. In my particular case, installing xserver-xorg-
input-synaptics-hwe-18.04 returned normal function to the TouchPad.

I have the same behaviour on 18.04 with ppa:xubuntu-dev/ppa. xfdesktop
is 4.12. The only workaround is to make the system run xfdesktop -R -A
after login. Anyone can do it adding the command to Session and
Startup/Application Autostart.

I can't reproduce it (in files created from scratch at least), without using
zoom functionality (which I don't use in my workflow).
One control on
While further testing zoom functionality I was able to once trigger this
bug on a new file with default column width and one control.
However, I was not able to reproduce with multiple attempts.

Just fyi to the snap developers.
I delete the $HOME/snap directory every time I see it. I agree 100% with
#2 that it's arrogant to create this directory. If I'm forced to use a
snap app, like skype, I just delete the directory immediately
afterwards. And I really hope that snap has no future,

Yes, it seems so. It seems it affects quite old A4 mouses.
After I post this bug, I found another mouse (not A4 - like 3 ones
before! :) and scroll works perfectly!
