Never mind, it looks as if you have a SiS video card. The SiS driver has not received much work for a while now and it seems unlikely that it ever will. You could try filing a bug upstream at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/ and attach your XorgLog.txt and GstreamerVersions.txt there, but your best bet would be to add a discrete video card to your system (or replace the existing SiS discrete video card). Yeah, I get lots of buffering delays too when I use the command in comment #3, so I decided to try and play it in Totem again and wait longer this time. After downloading over half of the video it began to play smoothly and continued to do so until the end. This is on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. I haven't tried it on 11.04 Natty Narwhal. I downloaded the file to my hard drive (that seems to be a fairly low bandwidth/slow server) and then it played back immediately and smoothly. It also seems to be quite a large file for two minutes of H.264 video. I would have expected about 20MB.
