Workspace switcher background is not transparent

I would like to mention another problem : when including a picture with
a transparent background in Writer, the pictures is displayed with a
black background, which is very annoying (see attachment).

When using java-6-sun-1.6.0.20 as Java runtime environment, OpenOffice does not
crash but the bottom of the list is weird (see attachment).
So I do not know if it is an OpenOffice bug or a openjdk-6 bug...

I confirm this bug on Jaunty too. Very boring.
As Sebastien Bacher said, un-checking the GNOME Login Sound in Startup
Application or removing the line seems to work until you reopen the window and
see that the line is back.
I think this GNOME Login Sound setting should be placed in the Sounds
Oh sorry, I meant KARMIC (not Jaunty !)

Same problem here with Karmic and an IPod formated under WIndows.
Since I am using Ubuntu (3 years), I have never been able to create any
playlist with Rhytmbox. Did it already work once for someone ?
