[Bug 241331] Re: Running a non-existing command in the background causes exit

2012-01-12 Thread Bill Zaumen
I just ran into this bug and there seems to be a path-name dependency on it showing up. In some directories it happens consistently, making it a real annoyance. If it is in fact dependent on the length of a pathname, or the form of a directory name, that might be useful in locating the cause.

[Bug 267617] [NEW] Netgear wg511T does not work using ubuntu 8.04

2008-09-07 Thread Bill Zaumen
Public bug reported: I booted from the 8.04 live CD and my wireless card, a Netgear wg511T could not be configured using the GUI tool (system-administration-network), although lshw and iwlist showed that the hardware and driver were working. This card works as expected with ubuntu 6.06. With

[Bug 31273] Re: ethereal and tcpdump show a lot of packets with incorrect checksum

2007-01-03 Thread Bill Zaumen
I've seen the same problem and can reproduce it. It occurs when UDP packets are transmittted. I used tcpdump's -X option to analyze the packets and all fields are correct except for the UDP checksum. In one test, I sent a single UDP packet between two machines and found that only the checksum
