Problem still exists for me, but just openweather. It loads fine while
running, i.e. I "install" it with firefox. When I log out or reboot, it
does not load, and in firefox or tweaks, it shows an error, but if I
uninstall it, then reinstall it, it works fine until the next log
out/reboot.

Same issue on Asus 1201T Netbook with this device as of today, and

Driver might keep connection for 5 minutes or 5 hours, but when the
device fails, it must be rmmod'ed and modprobe'd and network manager
must be restarted in
I blamed banshee, since it was the only program that was really
affected, but it was most likely due to the fact that it is always
scanning the music collection placed there. System stopped freezing
when I put that collection on fat32. It seems that is is ntfs-3g that
was causing the issue.

Well this makes me sad. Is there a workaround? I decompressed
policykit-1-gnome and then looked for the executables on my system and
tried to run them but I got errors about not knowing what session I was
running. I'd even settle for modifying some files.

sudo dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc and added it to the second prompt before
quiet splash so that it read acpi_osi=Linux quiet splash

dpms bug which keeps the display from shutting off. So no driver really
works for me.

Still hideous crashes with different versions of the intel driver. I
restored my original image ant that was with the original intrepid intel
driver
So then I added and change the jaunty repos to:

and a small @ would flash in the upper left corner. The screen is
completely black... as in the backlight is turned off.
I still have to ctrl-alt-F1, then sudo init 1 then hit enter after the
usplash stalls. It brings me back up to the kdm greeter, and an
external monitor/projector can be used
Got a black screen without kdm restarting by un-commenting
TerminateServer=true
in /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc
only ctrl alt f1 would bring me back up to a terminal. Not a fix for
me.

Not that more people need to agree. It is worse with Firefox. Doesn't
seem to happen with OpenGL enabled on my intel cards, but I Use Xrender
and it does happen. XRender is faster on my intel video machines.
It also happens with my laptop that uses a very cheap SIS graphics card.

only issue and I fixed that a while ago... but I am embarrassed to say I
finally put the original Broadcom card back in, I finally got tired of
all the Atheros tweaking with Intrepid.
I was referring to a mistake I made in my own grammar;-) I apparently
don't even know how to use my own language.
Tried driver vesa in xorg.conf and it would not wake from suspend so

Will not place automatically on desktop... including iPod. Tried
Sandisk mini, memorex generic, and generic usb hard drive. Works with
previous kernel.

The last update seems to be causing an issue that is not giving an error
per se, it is just taking forever to configure network. I had to find

Same thing also... had to install Synaptic for now. Synaptic works fine
