[Bug 1192500] [NEW] Gedit spellcheck problem with first capitalised word in a sentence

2013-06-19 Thread Jan Frybort
Public bug reported:

First capitalised words in sentences are wrong marked as errors. This
problem appears (so far randomly) after some time of using the
spellchecking. It can be temporarily corrected by selecting a different
language and than changing back. Turing the spellchecking off and on
again does not help. Screenshot showing the bug is attached.

[Bug 812416] [NEW] Intel wifi 3945 slow after kernel upgrade

2011-07-18 Thread Jan Frybort

after long time.

[Bug 229283] Re: no chart in gnumeric

2008-05-11 Thread Jan Frybort
I managed to restart the machine but it did not help. Than I purged all
the gnumeric packages including their dependencies. Installed only
gnumeric (and its dependencies, nothing extra) and it worked! I could
see the chart selection. Than I added the doc and plugin packages and
the problem returned. I repeated the described procedure but this time
with no luck. Regardless of what I do, there is no way to display the
chart selection again.

[Bug 229283] Re: no chart in gnumeric

2008-05-11 Thread Jan Frybort
Thanks for your prompt reaction. This is a clean install of Hardy. Gnumeric
version 1.8.2-1ubuntu1. Following packages are installed: gnumeric,
gnumeric-common, gnumeric-doc, gnumeric-plugins-extra. I reinstalled these
packages and now not even the window "about application" is displayed. I would
like to try restarting (still remember windows "solutions") but I cannot at
this time.
The only "special" operation I can recollect is pasting about 3 columns of 2000
values each from OO.o. Then I wanted to plot them but with the result I
presented.

I'm afraid this is not a forum, but I would recommend following the
procedure described here:
http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#fw-bcm43xx. Check the rights
of the /lib/b43 (or any similar) directory.

[Bug 188282] Re: hardy install alpha5 loops: broadcom: no firmware file

2008-03-07 Thread Jan Frybort
Still doesn't work out of the box with Alpha 6 (live CD nor clean
install). My Wifi card is Broadcom BCM4318. I followed the instructions
on http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#devicefirmware. I used
broadcom-wl-4.80.53.0.tar.bz2 for my card. The procedure described on
the above mentioned webpage worked and it created several files in
/lib/firmware. Problem was that this directory was accessible only for
root user. When I changed the right to 755 the wifi card started to
work.

[Bug 147736] Re: [Gutsy] PDF printer not available by default

2008-01-02 Thread Jan Frybort
Martin-Éric Racine: I don't know if it is the default behavior but I

happen in my case (even with final version of Gutsy). So this is not

[Bug 175350] Evolution, USENET news reappear as unread

2007-12-10 Thread Jan Frybort
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Way to reproduce:
1) Have any new messages in a USENET account and read it
2) Press F9 or push a button to refresh the messages in all your accounts
3) The read messages in the USENET group are marked as unread again, but only
in the left column, the message itself is not marked as unread
4) There is no way to mark it as read; once Evolution is restarted the state of
messages is correct again

[Bug 159234] [Gutsy] network hangs on high load

2007-11-01 Thread Jan Frybort
Public bug reported:

Gutsy on amd64. I'm connected via wired network using Realtek
RTL8111/8168B PCI NIC. The network always hangs when I transfer large
files (usually using scp). I experienced similar behavior with Feisty
and I suspected the r8169 driver. I changed to Realtek r8168 driver but
the issue remains. With Feisty I was able to bring up the connected with

/etc/init.d/networking restart

but in Gutsy it results only in this output

* Reconfiguring network interfaces...

[Bug 105632] [Feisty] Ubuntu is not shut down correctly

2007-04-11 Thread Jan Frybort
Public bug reported:

This is a bit difficult to describe. For about a week I can see that
when I make Ubuntu to shut down it doesn't proceed correctly. The PC is
shut down, but the way of doing so is wrong. I have asus laptop and when
I have to shut it down forcefully (pressing and holding the power
button) it beeps. And for about a week this beep sounds whenever I shut
down Ubuntu. I have also Windows installed and there I cannot see any
problem, therefore I think it's not a hardware problem. How can I
provide more information?

** Affects: Ubuntu
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed
