[Bug 1192500] [NEW] Gedit spellcheck problem with first capitalised word in a sentence
Public bug reported: First capitalised words in sentences are wrong marked as errors. This problem appears (so far randomly) after some time of using the spellchecking. I apologize for flooding this thread with multiple posts. There is one more thing I would like to add. Now Evolution doesn't crash immediately after starting. It crashes when I try to edit any of the repeating assignments. I managed to restart the machine but it did not help. Than I purged all the gnumeric packages including their dependencies. Installed only gnumeric (and its dependencies, nothing extra) and it worked! I could see the chart selection. Than I added the doc and plugin packages and the problem returned. I repeated the described procedure but this time with no luck. Thanks for your prompt reaction. This is a clean install of Hardy. Gnumeric version 1.8.2-1ubuntu1. Following packages are installed: gnumeric, gnumeric-common, gnumeric-doc, gnumeric-plugins-extra. I reinstalled these packages and now not even the window "about application" is displayed. I would like to try restarting (still remember windows "solutions") but I cannot at this time. The only "special" operation I can recollect is pasting about 3 columns of 2000 values each from OO.o. Still doesn't work out of the box with Alpha 6 (live CD nor clean install). My Wifi card is Broadcom BCM4318. I followed the instructions on http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#devicefirmware. I used broadcom-wl-4.80.53.0.tar.bz2 for my card. The procedure described on the above mentioned webpage worked and it created several files in /lib/firmware. Problem was that this directory was accessible only for root user. Yes, that's right. It's panel not toolbar :-). VLC really goes in fullscreen when the top panel is at bottom, but, at least in my case, the picture is shifted upwards and not bigger. It simply looks just a little better. [Bug 105632] [Feisty] Ubuntu is not shut down correctly
Public bug reported: This is a bit difficult to describe. For about a week I can see that when I make Ubuntu to shut down it doesn't proceed correctly. The PC is shut down, but the way of doing so is wrong. I have asus laptop and when I have to shut it down forcefully (pressing and holding the power button) it beeps. And for about a week this beep sounds whenever I shut down Ubuntu. I have also Windows installed and there I cannot see any problem, therefore I think it's not a hardware problem.
