[Bug 1895215] [NEW] egg-info missing for cysignals
Public bug reported: I have `python3-cysignals-pari` installed in Ubuntu 20.04. This provides the python module cysignals. But running `pip check` returns the following message: pplpy 0.8.4 requires cysignals, which is not installed. cypari2 2.1.1 requires cysignals, which is not installed. The issue seems to be caused by missing metadata (either as egg-info or dist-info). For example, I would've expected to see the folder `cysignals-1.10.2.egg-info` in `/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages`. Not sure if this counts as a bug, since it doesn't cause any loss of functionality. Cheers! ** Affects: cysignals (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1895215 Title: egg-info missing for cysignals To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cysignals/+bug/1895215/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1019700] Re: Declares that it depends on testresources at the python level, but the package doesn't depend on it
Still persists in the python3-launchpadlib 1.10.13 package in Ubuntu 20.04. Not sure if the right solution would be to A) move `testresources` from `install_requires` to `tests_require` in the setup.py file (https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~lazr-developers/launchpadlib/trunk/view/head:/setup.py), or B) make `python3-testresources` a dependency of the `python3-launchpadlib` package. Option (A) would make more sense to me. [Bug 1798961] Re: Random unrecoverable freezes on Ubuntu 18.10
I've had these freeze issues for a while, and I've been following this thread for a while (comment #42 helped, though I still have occasional freezes). Googled "Fedora random freeze" today and found this: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Common_F28_bugs#Certain_laptops_.28Lenovo.29_hang_randomly Apparently an issue in Ubuntu also: https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/software/desktop-linux/1020821 -fedora-workstation-28-is-shaping-up-to-be-another-terrific- update?p=1020982#post1020982 And the timing of these bugreports/comments coincides with when these freezes started affecting me... Long story short, we can try adding `ahci.mobile_lpm_policy=1` or `ahci.mobile_lpm_policy=0` to the kernel options in grub. Supposedly confirmed to help Lenovo G50-80, X250 and T450s. We have a G40-80 and T470s affected on this thread, and mine's a Lenovo G500s (similar to G50-80). Maybe it'll help? (praying that it helps) It's possible that these freezes have multiple causes, and won't be completely fixed even if the workaround helps at all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1798961 Title: Random unrecoverable freezes on Ubuntu 18.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1798961/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1273203] Re: ubuntu-restricted-extras Recommends unavailable package: libavcodec-extra-53
It should recommend libavcodec-extra instead. libavcodec-extra depends on the latest version in the repositories (libavcodec-extra-54). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1273203 Title: ubuntu-restricted-extras Recommends unavailable package: libavcodec- extra-53 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-restricted-extras/+bug/1273203/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 978604] Re: Banshee/Rhythmbox regularly stop playing audio when left on in the background
Still facing issue in Ubuntu 13.10; RB 2.99.1 Crossfade seems to solve the issue. If you don't want to use crossfade (due to how toggle pause/play behaves, or for other reasons), you can try the following workaround. It works for me. 1. Extract `rhythmboxfix.plugin` and `rhythmboxfix.py` from the attached archive into `~/.local/share/rhythmbox/plugins/`. 2. Restart RhythmBox and enable the `RhythmBox Fix` plugin. ** Attachment added: An RB plugin https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/978604/+attachment/3959074/+files/rhythmboxfix.tar.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/978604 Title: Banshee/Rhythmbox regularly stop playing audio when left on in the background To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/978604/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
