[Bug 430798] [NEW] evolution won't load google calendar

2009-09-16 Thread Skerit
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

After adding a Google calendar in Evolution I get this error in the
terminal output:

(evolution:7224): libecal-WARNING **: e-cal.c:320: Unexpected response
(evolution:7224): libecal-WARNING **: e-cal.c:320: Unexpected response

I found a thread on ubuntuforums of someone with the same problem, this has
been happening since april 2009:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=7142066postcount=3

I get this error with a private and a public agenda.
I also got this error message:

calendar-gui-Message: Check if default client matches (1253114255.8135.0
@KIP-DU-SKER 1253114255.813...@kip-du-sker)

which made me think something was wrong with the passwords. I made it
forget all the passwords, so I had to re-enter them, but that still did
not do it.

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 84139 ***

This problem isn't only on ubuntu, it's on debian as well, should a bug report
be made there, too?
Shouldn't packages be checked for faults like these?

[Bug 182473] Re: rtl8187 drops connection

2009-01-16 Thread Skerit
I have to confirm this bug.

I'm using a Toshiba Satellite Toshiba L350-107 (Model PSLD0E)
This is the chip info: IntelĀ® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a/b/g)

On 8.04 I had to manually download the linux drivers and install them, they
worked quite well (except the frequent disconnect)
On 8.10 these drivers were in the kernel, but now I get disconnected after a
second or too and it nearly never comes back.
And it's not that much better on 9.04.

[Bug 316252] Re: Unable to retrieve MSN Address Book

2009-01-12 Thread Skerit
The msn-pecan thing is nice, but doesn't count as a fix, and this does
not help my windows box at work.

Do we have to create a separate bug for Windows, perhaps?

[Bug 221582] Re: Anjuta code autocompletion does not work on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04

2009-01-10 Thread Skerit
I still experience this problem in Intrepid.

I have even tried installing from SVN, autocomplete still won't work. I
also don't see where I can enable it (I can just switch the symbol thing
on and off)

I also have no option of choosing between scintilla or gtksourceview
(only gtksourceview is installed)

[Bug 234882] Re: Network configuration is not behaves gracefully when using static IP and switching from roaming mode to static IP.

2008-10-28 Thread Skerit
Confirmed. I'm unable to set up a static IP address in network-configuration.
Also, when I set up a subnet mask, I enter it correctly, but the tool
automatically changes it ti 24
I don't know if that's right or not, but if it confuses me, it'll confuse a lot
more people.

The old configuration tool was kinda wonky, but at least it worked.

You also have no idea if your changes have been applied or not.

[Bug 289079] [NEW] Opening personal folder from Locations requires root password

2008-10-25 Thread Skerit
Public bug reported:

Trying to open your Personal Folder from the Locations menu will
prompt you for your root password.

This happened to me ever since I've been running the alpha of 8.10.

I thought it might be due to some faulty upgrading.
So I did a clean install of the 8.10 RC yesterday, but the bug was still there.

[Bug 207723] Re: Evolution will not authenticate on Exchange

2008-10-21 Thread Skerit
I've been running Intrepid for many months now, but I still have this
problem.

I know our webmail uses the ISA proxy thing.

I know I have to use a domain in front of my username.
When I don't, it spews out a lot of white lines in the terminal and takes 2
minutes to tell me it failed. (Could not connect to server. Make sure the URL
is correct and try again)

When I do use the domain in front of my username (w2k\) it immediately
tells me it failed, but a bit more hopeful: Could not find Exchange Web-
storage system. (Should OWA run on a different path, ...)

[Bug 210894] Re: Bluetooth-applet crashes when connecting keyboard with passkey

2008-05-02 Thread Skerit
At that time I was using the Beta of Hardy Heron, but things have taken a
turn for the worse since.

Even after removing every trace of my keyboard mouse, I can't even
pair the mouse anymore. It shows up in the list of the bluetooth-dongle
in the list of the input-services (even 3 times - some kind of glitch
that happens from time to time)

And without a mouse I can't pair the keyboard either, as I need it to
push the enter passkey button through one of those libnotify-bubbles.

If you take a look at the screenshot I added you can see, in the first
bluetooth-properties dialog, that there the mouse is lsited 3 times. In the
other dialog you can see that I have trusted the mouse.
(When I move the mouse it also gets a connected icon, but the cursor doesn't
move)

As you can see I also tried to add the keyboard.

[Bug 210894] [NEW] Bluetooth-applet crashes when connecting keyboard with passkey

2008-04-02 Thread Skerit
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bluez-gnome

I can connect anything to the machine just fine.

My mouse doesn't need any authorisation, but they keyboard does. To get
an authorisation request (through libnotify, apparantly) to pop-up I
first need to press a few keys on the keyboard.

But sometimes the notify-bubble will disappear instantly, sometimes it
won't. When you're finally able to push the Enter Passkey button the
resulting dialog mostly also crashes instantly!

I have no way to connect my keyboard now...

Oh, not to mention that it's VERY hard to type numbers in the
authorisation request WITHOUT A KEYBOARD!

Maybe a diall is needed in the dialog, so that people can type in the
numbers through there. (Right now I'm cutting and pasting 1234 in it,
should it work ...)

[Bug 178476] Re: new export extensions do not install

2008-01-08 Thread Skerit
Apparently there are a few missing files after you try to install the
facebook export extension:

Looking in the ~/.gnome2/f-spot/addin-db-001/addin-date/global/ map
there are several *.maddin files, but the facebook exporter doesn't seem
to create one.

(But all the other files in all the other folders ARE there, so I
believe it to be a problem with this *.maddin file...)
