[Bug 1669010] [NEW] Window does not remember size when using keyboard shortcuts

2017-03-01 Thread Victor gonzalez

Story: this is a detail I noticed while testing bug fix for LP: #1312892
in webbrowser silo 2504. If the user wants to resize/move/close the

right, but using keyboard shortcuts to resize/move/close like
ctrl+super+arrows and alt+F4 can make it fail.

Environment: unity8-deb session on zesty+silo 2504

Test case 1

1. Open webbrowser and press ctrl+super+up arrow to maximize
2. Close webbrowser with the mouse or alt+F4
3. Open webbrowser again and check the window size

Expected result: webbrowser appears maximized
Current result: on first boot webbrowser appears with its normal/by default size

Test case 2

1. Open webbrowser and press ctrl+super+right arrow to put it on the right edge
2. Close webbrowser with the mouse or alt+F4

Expected result: webbrowser should open next to the right edge

[Bug 1644242] [NEW] Space key also starts console-conf

2016-11-23 Thread Victor gonzalez
Public bug reported:

Story: this probably happens on all platforms but I only tested with
i386 and amd64 images. The user can enter the networking page with enter
and space keys right now, but probably the space key shouldn't act like
that and would be better using only the enter key.

Environment:
AMD64
core 16.04.1 531 canonical -
pc 16.04-0.8 9 canonical -
pc-kernel 4.4.0-45-4 37 canonical -"

i386
"core 16.04.1 530 canonical -
pc 16.04-0.5 13 canonical -
pc-kernel 4.4.0-45-4 36 canonical -"

Steps to reproduce:

1º Build images with Canonical models
2º Boot them from kvm
3º "Press enter to configure"
4º Now the screen shows a message ""Ubuntu Core /n Configure the network and
setup an administrator account on this all-snap Ubuntu Core system"
5º Press space bar

Current result: network connections page is displayed

Expected result: space shouldn't open the network connections page, only
the enter key

[Bug 1644232] [NEW] Missing static IPv6 config in console-conf

2016-11-23 Thread Victor gonzalez
Public bug reported:

Story: with both i386 and amd64 images running in kvm I can't enter the
Static IPv6 configuration page, when I press enter it does nothing,
however IPv4 static config works fine and shows me the page with the
fields

Environment:
AMD64
core 16.04.1 531 canonical -
pc 16.04-0.8 9canonical -
pc-kernel 4.4.0-45-4 37 canonical -"

i386
"core 16.04.1 530 canonical -
pc 16.04-0.5 13 canonical -
pc-kernel 4.4.0-45-4 36 canonical -"

Steps to reproduce:

1º Build images with Canonical models
2º Boot them from kvm
3º Get to networking page
5º Select eth0>"Use static IPv6 configuration"

Current result: nothing happens the IPv6 config isn't displayed

Expected result: static IPv6 configuration should be displayed

[Bug 1641930] Re: It is possible to skip wizard config

2016-11-15 Thread Victor gonzalez
I just opened shorts app by tapping on the left blank space. However, I
always need to scroll the language list up a little in order to open any
app.

@saviq, file manager is located on the right sideso it makes sense. In
addition, I also opened gmail tapping the left side (gmail is right
there in apps scope)

With today's image(79) I wasn't able to make it crash, but got the black

Unfortunately, the device can't boot completely after this. The splash
screen appears and then it turns black, is not even displaying the
ubuntu boot image. I'll try again later

[Bug 1632305] Re: console-conf cannot be used twice

@mwhudson, I tried with today's image:

and got the same result. Even if I re-enter my SSID and password instead
of continuing, once I press Done the network connections screen gets
stuck in 33% and then connection to dragonboard is lost.

@mwhudson, I've tested it on dragonboard with today's image(ubuntu-

After sudo console-conf,when I'm in network connections screen again

connection is lost and can't continue with console-conf.

After rebooting dragonboard it isn't registered in my wlan anymore so I

[Bug 1632275] Re: indicator-network-secret-agent crashed with SIGSEGV in do_lookup_x()

2016-10-11 Thread Victor gonzalez
HW Amd+Nvidia graphics+Ralink RT2561.

When installing Yakkety adm64 and just after clicking next from Download
updates+Install 3rd party drivers screen, Wi-FI icon gets blank and
installation options appear. There is no internet connection.
Additionaly, Wi-Fi seems to be unable to reconnect the previous Wi-Fi
network
