I have been having this problem ever since I installed Ubuntu on this computer.
There is no discrete graphics card, the computer is on the Intel i3-2105, which
uses HD 3000 Graphics, using the i915 module.
I can easily reproduce this problem by opening any application that
My problem was not so much with the display as it is with the
microphone. Everything has been set up exactly as it was on 11.04 but
the sound is inaudible (it sounds like a chipmunk on speed).

actually it reboot just fine but it get stuck at very early stage of
booting, at splash screen actually (where it says press key to enter
bios setup), it wouldn't skip that stage and boot until I shut down the
