There are some forums suggesting that this problem is related to a bug in firmware. So I updated it from 1.02 to 1.06. Palimpsest confirms the update. Now I can watch Alias season One, but still can't watch Lord of the Rings. I have no idea why. They both are region 4 (Brazil) and double layer.
