[Bug 823899] Re: When compiz enabled, I can not dock any LibreOffice Window.

2011-11-18 Thread hamacker
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected oneiric patch ubuntu

** Description changed:

  Hi,

Since OpenOffice in Ubuntu 10.04, when compiz is enable does not
possivel dock any Windows tools in Libre/OpenOffice.

Per example, Load LibreOffice press F11 to show Window Format and
Style. Now try to dock this Window in right or left side in LibreOffice
userspace. Sorry, any Window is dockable when compiz is Enabled.

In prior versions of Ubuntu, I could disable compiz temporaly only to
dock my LibreOffice Windows and re-enabled compiz after that. But in
Ubuntu 11.04, compiz can not disable in GNOME enviroment, only in
  security mode.

So, I looking for this bug in lauchpad, for my surprise I did not find anyone
then post this.
I dont know if this bug is about Compiz or about LibreOffice, then I set I
dont know.

[Bug 891124] [NEW] applets in Unity or menu activities (gnome-shell) does not run when virtualbox run FullScreen

2011-11-16 Thread hamacker
Public bug reported:

This bug affect both gnome-shell and Unity.
I have two monitors, rigth side I use with VirtualBox (4.1 or opensource, does
not matter) and left-size my Ubuntu 11.10 amd64 updated.

To reproduze :
1. Start VirtualBox with guest tools instaled with Windows VM (I try with
Windows XP)
2. Put VirtualBox with second monitor (1920x1080)
3. Type Host+F to FullScreen on second monitor
4. Open Windows Explorer
5. Get out with the mouse to a first monitor and try to click in any applet on
first monitor, dropdown menu does not show any item (with left or right click),
not focused, no menu list, nothing. I try with gnome-shell, and menu Activies
does not run too, but gnome-shell-extensions run menu-dropdown normally.
6. Come back to your VM, type Host+F to exit from FullScreen and try to show
dropdown menu in applets or gnome-shell activities, they come back.

This bug affect any applet on top bar that need dropdown menu with right-click
or left-click.
If you have any applications loaded on first monitor, like firefox, when
VirtualBox in Fullscreen mode, you can go to Firefox menu fist, than you can go
your applets and see thats run now. So, this bug only appear if you exit (with
your mouse moviment) from VirtualBox (on fullscren mode) and go to directy to
applets (unity) or activities (gnome-shell).

[Bug 823899] [NEW] When compiz enabled, I can not dock any [Libre/Open]Office Window.

2011-08-10 Thread hamacker
Public bug reported:

I dont know if this bug is about Compiz or about LibreOffice, then I set I
dont know.

[Bug 571638] Re: Keyboard does not work when touchpad disable button pressed

2010-06-11 Thread hamacker
I confirm this but on notebook dv9000.

When touchpad is on/off after gdm session, keyboard stop responding, but
not freeze because CTRL+ALT+F1, CTRL+ALT+F2,CTRL+ALT+F3,...,CTRL+ALT+F12
and CTRL+ALT+DEL work as well.

If I go to the terminal with CTRL+ALT+F1 and come back to gnome session
with CTRL+ALT+F7 then keyboard does work again.

This is a BIG BIG BUG.

[Bug 352594] [NEW] parcellite reset clipboard in some programs

2009-03-31 Thread hamacker
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: parcellite

Tested with Ubuntu 9.04.

Parcellite 0.9 in Ubuntu Jaunty reset contrl+x or control+c in some
programs like rdesktop frontends (grdesktop and tsclient), virtualbox
and probally vmware.

Example : Inside VirtualBox Machine with Windows XP (or rdp session), I
try to cut a folder to paste in another location, when do CTRL+X to cut
I note icon folder transparence indicate 'cut' only 2 seconds and after
transparence rollback and lost clipboard, probally clear. To resolv this
bug only close parcellite and try again and everything will be fine.

This comportment happens with VirtualBox machines and RDP clients such
grdesktop or tsclient.

9.10.

[Bug 178953] Re: compiz doesn't start if metacity compositor is enabled

2008-11-17 Thread hamacker
I confirm this bug, and it's present in intrepid.

If I running metacity and execute this :
gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager
true

Ok, I'am running metacity with compositing, but If I try :
System-Preferences-Appearance-Effects Tab and Try to activate any
(Normal|Extra|Custom) Effect, the Ubuntu says that if not possible to actvate
effects.

Then I run this :
gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager
false

Now, I can go System-Preferences-Appearance-Effects Tab and runs any
(Normal|Extra|Custom) Effect without errors message.

[Bug 245833] Re: when set all sound events on gdmsetup, sound will be disable

2008-07-30 Thread hamacker
I will attach :
~/.xsession-errors
~/.gnome/sound/events/gnome.soundlist
/etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom
screenshots of gdmsetup and gnome-system-sound.

But it's simple to make this bug appear, only set all 3 sounds events in
gdmsetup, then setl sounds/events in gnome :

dialog question
error message
warning message
information message
end session *
start session *

I believe that (*) can not be used if you use this event/sound in gdmsetup :
start session sucessfull
start session failed.

The .wav files does not corrupted, I can try any .wav and I get the same
error. If I unset sound to start session sucessfull and start session
failed in gdmsetup, everything comes OK again.

Thanks a lot,

disabled. If I disable sound event to start/fail session then Sound will
be enabled after login again.

I test 4 times using standard gdm.conf and gdm.conf-custom, and events
sound in .wav format.

[Bug 245833] Re: when set all sound events on gdmsetup, sound will be disable

2008-07-05 Thread hamacker
Ok. I discover whats happening.

If I set in gnome-sound-system .wav to the same events and set sound
events of gdm then after login in GDM anyone can play any sound,
includes videos. Some events sounds in GDM conflicting with GNOME Sound
System Events.

Example :

If in GDM I set .wav to Start Session successful and set in gnome sounds
(preferences-sound-sound) in event Start Session other .wav then the problem
appear.
I need to disable all events of gnome sound system to use gdm sound events.

I dont know if problem is GDM or GNOME Sound System Events.

on gnome menu-System-Administrative always have a displayconfig-gtk
shortcut, it's a best utility to configure a video\driver.

In this release Ubuntu Herdy Heron there is no displayconfig-gtk shortcut in
gnome menu, but it's installed.
I believe that missing.

Please 'displayconfig-gtk shortcut' come back :)

[Bug 187650] Re: gnome-panel incorrect order after unexpand

2008-01-31 Thread hamacker
Final Considerations :

In my test all items are marked as lock to the panel. But it's not fine, the
same problem.
I think that gnome-panel only retain correct order in expand and not expand
panel as first time, but if you change one to another then all items are
relocated in different positions.
To turn around this bug you need to rearrange items again and not change
expanded-not expanded (vice-versa).

Sorry, about not flag gnome-panel package.

[Bug 92867] GRUB Loading stage1.5Read Error (maybe wrong LBA autodetect)

2007-03-16 Thread hamacker
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: reportbug

Grub do install wrongly in some BIOS (maybe wrong LBA autodetect)

I have a MB ASUS p4s800d and one IDE DISK 80GB, that Can not Install
Ubuntu Edgy or Feisty. Only Ubuntu Dapper I can Install correctly.

I try a fresh install Edgy from Live CD and Alternate Install, both with the
same error.
I try dist-upgrade from Dapper to Edgy and fail too.

I try fresh install from Feisty with alternate install, with the same
error.

The error is, boot from CD or Dist-upgrade and everithing is OK, After boot,
the Error appears :
GRUB Loading stage1.5Read Error

I try to recover from alternate-install CD, and chrooted / partition and
re-install Grub without errors, but after boot fail too with the same
message error. I try to change to LILO to recover this problem.

Maybe downgrade GRUB version to the same in Ubuntu dapper can resolv
this problem or Add new option after complete installation to use Grub
or LILO.

[Bug 68051] Wrong ABNT2 Configuration.

2006-10-24 Thread hamacker
Public bug reported:

Hi guys, I'am using Edgy 6.10 rc1 and I started instalation with brazilian
language and ABNT2 Keybord, but after install my system is portuguese (OK) but
wrong Xorg configuration to use abnt2 layout keyboard.
Look the default keybord configuration in /etc/X11/xorg after install :
Option XkbModel pc105
Option XkbLayout br
But the correct is (and used in previous dapper) :
Option XkbModel abnt2
Option XkbLayout br
Option XkbVariant abnt2

In the same way, the console-data its wrong too, and I need to load this
keymap ever after the boot : http://www.iei.org.br/~rafael/down/br-
abnt2.kmap.gz

I think that its serious problem, and occours in Debian (sid) too.

copy br-abnt2.kmap.gz to /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/
dpkg-reconfigure console-data
select from architeture- “qwerty” - “Brazilian” - “BR-Latin1″

and now is correct.
