[Bug 643289] Re: idmapd does not starts to work after system reboot
Met same problem in natty. @Steve Langasek There is no way to reproduce open(/var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs/nfs) problem in oneric because mount-related actions from /etc/init/rpc_pipefs.conf were moved to /etc/init/idmapd.conf and /etc/init/gssd.conf. I think, that best solution for this bug is to backport contents of /etc/init directory of nfs-common package. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/643289 Title: idmapd does not starts to work after system reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mountall/+bug/643289/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 794895] Re: Xorg crashes in doListFontsAndAliases
Well, strict answer is no, because there is only a workaround (not quite obvious to regular user) but there is no patch that actually fixes this bug. On the other hand it seems, that people on freedesktop.org bugzilla actually treat this bug as won't-fix. But preventing nVidia config tool (and maybe other tools) from writing FontPath unix/:7100 to xorg.conf could also be threated as a fix for this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/794895 Title: Xorg crashes in doListFontsAndAliases To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/794895/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 244472] Re: Documentation not found in QtiPlot
1. Path to qtplot help files is invalid: /usr/share/qtiplot/manual In fact, manual is located in /usr/share/qtiplot-doc/manual/html (part of qtiplot-doc package) 2. File qtiplot.adp is missing, there is qtiplot.adp.gz intstead. 3. A really positive thing: after removing fade on lock, locked desktop content does not become visible (it was just a blink, but it was anoying) during user-switch process. -- black screen after a few user switches https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/546578 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 546578] Re: black screen after a few user switches
@jeffbl, all Oops, I hurried... After some swithes, locked desktop flash appeared again. But it's subject for a separate bug. Who knows, where should it be reported? [Bug 546578] Re: black screen after a few user switches
** Description changed: [Problem] Up-to-date Lucid with radeon driver. After switching user a few times (usually between 3 and 5 times), the screen goes black with only the mouse cursor visible after entering the user's password. VTs are also completely black. Restarting gdm fixes the issue, and nothing odd appears in XOrg.0.log when the black screen occurs. - It also happens with KMS disabled. - It also happens with compiz disabled for all users. - [Workaround] + [Workaround] 1 Uninstall gnome-screensaver (see bug #555870 - something gnome-screensaver does is triggering this X bug) + [Workaround] 2 + Blindfold: Unlock session by typing password, then press Alt-F2 (call Run ... dialog), then type xgamma -gamma 1.0 and hit Enter + [Workaround] 3 + Update gnome-screensaver to 2.30.0-0ubuntu2 or higher (yet in proposed repo). Those versions are compiled with disabled fade on lock.
