I've got the same issue on my Lenovo S10-2 with Intel Atom N280, 2GB RAM and
also Intel Gma950.
After upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10 everything is pretty sluggish with the new
unity interface. For example opening up applications takes several seconds.

Hey I wanted to mention that I just got this on a Fedora box
(2.6.30.10-105.2.23.fc11.i586) today. Yesterday I had to swap out the
motherboard, AND I HAD TO CHANGE AN IDE CABLE. This never happened with
the old motherboard and cable.
I will try to put in a new cable next week an will report

OK, now it happened again, in a just-updated lucid lynx. I hope it's OK
that I continue on the same bug report.
I manage to ssh into the machine even though the display is black.
apport-collect says No additional information collected.
Here are the lates entries in /var/log/kern.log. The

I looked into a weird workaround from bug #191094 which works in this
case as well.
This bug is related to the current terminal size.
If I resize the terminal to 203x24, aptitude update works. 204x24 and

invalid. The 49GB partition was indeed a different, unused partition.
I guess netbook-launcher should ask for a password just like nautilus

I have got the same problem on an Acer Apsire 5500. I'm using a clean
Jaunty installation. As described, a usb mouse works fine. But once you

The go-home-applet GUI disappears when working with it, e.g. when I:
- remove or add favourites
- start and close the power manage
The icon in the panel is still there, and I can still right-click it and
select e.g. About. Just selecting it renders an empty desktop
The way I see it, the files in /var/lib/dpkg/alternatives/ needs to have
at least three lines, and the last line needs to be empty. You can also
try to temporarily move away that directory, replacing it with an empty
one.

Thanks for the bug fix, I'm looking forward to the new debs. To the
side note, compiz with full acceleration works without glitches on a
default gnome desktop on my computer. But I'll try not to be
disappointed if it doesn't work in unr :)

Same problem with 9.04 Jaunty alpha 4 with latest updates. I thought
maybe the problem was there because I used Wubi and a swapfile (ref. bug
#224697), but the problem is still here with a fresh 9.04 install using
a swap partition. The fan spins up when I try to wake up from standby,
