This is a regression, it used to work perfectly at some point.
happens with built-in mplayer as well as with mplayer and mplayer2 from
motumedia, so I blame compiz (and that had more regressions than I can count).

I have now given up on using evolutions native caldev and google
interfaces. gcaldaemon works great as a workaround and comes with
evolution-specific setup instructions:

There is apparently no straightforward workaround in the current release
(karmic). Supposedly the bug is fixed in the next release (lucid) and
you could just upgrade to that, but it's still in development. I ended
up dowgrading just the netbook-launcher and libnetbooklauncher

have four columns and messup happens after three lines in the second

mini_rant It baffles me how such a vital piece of the UI can be broken
for effectively an entire release cycle. ubuntu release quality has
continously gotten worse for at least the last 2 years if you ask me.
There has not been a single release that updated flawlessly
@David: Bios is the latest (beta) available for this board. previous
stable version had the same problem.
So which one would you like me to test? How do I compile a current alsa
snapshot? btw, I tried 10.0.21 from some ppa in the process of figuring

after further experimentation, it seems that the coordinates for BottomX

just to reaffirm this: a similar thing just happened to me a few times
on intrepid. No direct connection to the lid though. Resuming from

I am not using the fglrx driver which was implied as the culprit in some other

No internet in wine after feisty to gusty upgrade in kubuntu

Since the update to gutsy, my warcraft III running under wine is not
able to connect to the network any more. Unfortunately I have no other
windows program that uses networking (or any other windows program at
all), so I can't test if this issue is

I marked this as duplicate as there is a working fix in the other bug,
although the scpi buttons are not mentioned there

[Feisty] Inaudible audio upon
that kernel also fixed the problem for me. I originally posted this as a
separate bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-
source-2.6.20/+bug/109526 because all my special buttons stopped working
together with sound, but that kernel fixed both problems.
