Hi,
I confirm the bug under Mint Qiana, Banshee 2.6.2, playing CDs.
Disabling gapless playback seems to solve it.
I noticed the following in syslog:

Videos tear and blink when enabling compiz [AMD Feature #7647] [EPR#257833]
Hello,
I do not think this is related to the AMD64 architecture.
However, ATI has been bought by AMD and it cannot be said that they have been
working seriously on this problem.
Nvidia graphic cards have a much better reputation than ATI cards from the
drivers point of view - see some comments
Hello,
Does this only apply to the 64-bits version, or is this also possible to get
full advantage of 4GB under the 32-bits version?
Thanks

Hello,
On my computer, this bug (ATI+OpenGL applications) doesn't only appear in
fullscreen. Google Earth in windowed mode or glxgears also cause the display to
flicker.

Hello,
Thanks, but this did not solve the problem for me. OpenGL apps like Google
Earth (windowed fullscreen) or even glxgears still flicker.

Tried again yesterday and got a white screen.

Forgot to add that it works fine without the ATI restricted driver or with the

I have a MSI P35 motherboard.
