Re: [Bug 63967] Re: machine does not wake up after suspend
Well, I do not know in what world you live. Most computers I tried DO NOT WAKE UP AFTER SUSPEND on Ubuntu, any version. It is so frequent that few people even try to install Ubuntu on a laptop - simply because on a desktop it is easier to live with that, you can just systematically turn it off. Most of us user have simply given up. This is real world. Of course, maybe it just isn't new enough to have issues with suspend. I have been unable to reproduce this issue, myself. I have one laptop and two desktops that seem to be able to wake from suspend. -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/63967 Title: machine does not wake up after suspend Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Status in “linux-source-2.6.17” package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Status in “linux-source-2.6.19” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in Baltix GNU/Linux: Invalid Bug description: I just upgraded to Edgy. [Bug 557784] Re: Eject does not open empty cd tray while virtualbox is running
I have exactly the same problem except that it is worse: the eject command does not open the tray either, and it cannot be unmounted. No solution found except turning off VirtualBox which is quite annnoying. I would be very thankful to any person who thinks up a patch to remedy for this. I run Ubuntu 9.04 and VirtualBox 3.1.6. If this persists, I'll have to switch back to VMWare. -- Eject does not open empty cd tray while virtualbox is running https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/557784 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
