Title:
10.04 Software
Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS server - AMD64
Server: HP Proliant DL120G6
Firstly I want to point out that this is NOT one just one set of drives or just
one server It has happened to many of the same server/drive types.
If I install the above server with 2 X 250 GB drives - Seagate
dino99 - you can get patches for the mainline kernel here
http://kernel.org/pub/linux/security/apparmor/apparmor-2.6.36-patches.tgz
just go to the source dir then
patch -p1 patchfile (for all 3)
then check you have the compatibility option enabled.
See :
@Giuseppe Calaprice - your Geforce 8600 doesn't use the nvidia-96
drivers .
You should use nvidia-current driver - I have a geforce 8500 and it
works totally fine...

I have just installed Ubuntu 10.04 on an old P4 desktop.
All is fine except I can't access grub at all.
Instead I get the message
error . invalid extent.
Ubuntu loads fine btw, but I should be able to access grub (to load
another OS/recovery
They are both examples of opensource languages/toolkits, It seems silly
not to have the package,
The GUI for the phoronix test suite requires it.
Other distros also have it in their repos.

The Bug is repeatable on both x86 + x86_64 Ubuntu 10.04 100% of the
time.
On a fresh 10.04 install using a Nvidia card, if you try to enable
desktop effects (i.e compiz) via the appearance menu - i.e click
'normal' you get prompted
