Hi, apparently I have the same issue. After installing 9.10 x86-64, my BT doesn't work anymore. If I try using it installing blueman, it asks me to turn it on but nothing happens. If I right click on the greyed icon and choos Turn Bluetooth On, it doesn't work it stays like this. Bluetooth has always worked for me since the first version of Ubuntu I installed on this system (7.10). I posted because this one has hit me twice. I have narrowed it down as far as I can, but cannot get my bluetooth functioning again. The first time it happened, I was just off of a fresh install, so I re-installed. It would be quite a pain this time. Everytime the batteries in my mouse die with Karmic, I pull them from the mouse, and charge them in my USB battery charger. When I go to put them back (after using my trackpad on my laptop for 5-6 hours), bluetooth is dead. Could you run the following command in a terminal please? It will attach information to the bug that will help get it resolved: apport-collect 483138 Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository with 'sudo apt-get install python- launchpadlib'.
