nope, i do not think so. I can open Firefox by hand and open a https
page. The same issue appears.

This behavior seems to be fixed (Manually Opening Firefox, then opening
HTTPS webpages). In spite, the Thunderbird HTTPs bug is not fixed yet,
but that is not the topic of this bug report.

i am fairly certain...i think i remember killing firefox and restarting
it...after doing so i received the same error message...
next time it happens ill try to kill and restart and we will find
out...would make sense that you are right however since its happened so
rarely...

Doesn't seem to be a language pack related problem for me.
I do not have any addons installed (excepting the Firefox default theme)
and the same issue appears.
But when I move my .mozilla directory and restart Firefox, https sites
work fine.
When I remove .mozilla then and move my old .mozilla
Strangely it happens to some and not others. My two Edgy boxes are both
unaffected, but clearly something's going on for the people here...

I can confirm it.
It seems a language problem, dectivating the language pack it works
again.
