I'm away from my system right now, but this is with a running Feisty install (from herd3). No problems with installs until this showed up. The prior kernel install worked great, I have been using the US archive for downloads (not installing from media, installing from download)--I get the same

I tried to boot with normal recovery. Got the same error message. I am going to re-download re-install Linux-generic to see if it was a bad download or a real problem. I'm including a .jpeg of the startup--this was with quiet splash removed from the kernel line. ** Attachment added: Error

I can call this bug closed--I re-downloaded installed the current kernel from the us archive everything seems to work fine. I can only guess as to the cause of the prior bad install. This time I used Synaptic watched the install, the first time I let Update-Manager do the update without
