Napoleon, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If

Update: So after post #25 i closed firefox which was the only
application I had opened since starting the pc, and then i tried to
reboot but it didn't, so I had to manually power it down with the power
button. Sorry but I don't know what to make of all these.

Update: I installed latest v3.3 kernel as instructed and as before i had
a problem with the install, I think its to do with building the broadcom
driver. Anyway, I got borrowed an ethernet cable and connected to the
internet since the wireless was not working. I went through a typical
usage

Thanks for your help. I attempted to follow your instructions and this
is what happened. I was able to install the image and headers but it
completed with errors. I then restarted the system the manual way (ie
pressing the power button until shutdown) and booted into the mainline

Update: Like I promised in my last post, I restarted the system, running
linux-image-3.2.0-23-generic-pae, I started ubuntu and watched a couple
of you tube videos, also started inkscaped but didn't use it for
anything and just closed it, then i tried to shutdown, but it
unfortunately didn't power
