I was having this exact same problem and tried the couple different
things listed above. The one that worked for me was the command:
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install --reinstall ubiquity
ubiquity-frontend-gtk
Here are the steps I took:
boot pc with mythbuntu cd
made sure I had an

Yes I understand. The only thing that could help is if someone did a complete
Windows install on NTFS, used the LIVE CD, and during the install resizes the
disk.
Unfortunately I have a lot of stuff on my Windows partition and can't live
without it right now.
My timezone is GMT+1 (Copenhagen).
The problem returned after installing 2.6.20-16, this is the same
machine as before.
It's very annoying, the boot process stops on a blank screen and I have
to CTRL-ALT-F1 to get to the message where I can press enter to boot
furhter.

or nvidia-glx beside xserver-xorg-video-ati than 3D (DRI) is gone.

The ctrl-u key does not work in my ubuntu 7.04 (german) at all. Neither when I
press ctrl-u and write then nor if I mark text and press ctrl-u then.
The only keypress what makes underlined text is, when I press ctrl-shift-u that
