I attempted to reproduce the problem when I upgraded to Intrepid (clean
install on a new, larger hard drive), and I did not have any issues.
Installed: hdhomerun-config [0.20080430].
And verified that I could scan channels and watch a channel on VLC using it.
Installed: libgmyth0 [1:0.7.1-1],
The same worked for me.

It used to work in Ubuntu, (can't promise that it was Hardy, though),

use any admin tools even after checking /etc/hosts and adding my
username to the admin and polkituser groups in /etc/group and

I have a Microsoft Natural Desktop (wireless keyboard+mouse on USB). I
have the same issues described here, i.e. pressing multimedia and other
extended buttons used to crash X before bug 311254 was fixed and are
ignored altogether now.
Because the patch for bug 311254 covers both master=0x0 and

No I am not having this issue anymore. It could have been related to a
variety of IM clients in use on different PCs/Phones/Laptops etc that
had added a friend when I didnt have that on the pidgin release.
So I dont have a remedy, but its ok now thanks.
