I ran into the same problem with two installation methods.
1 - Installed the apt-get
2 - Installed by downloading the Eclipse IDE EE for Java Developers from the
eclipse site.
In both cases I found that the list displayed the first time I started
eclipse - but not on subsequent attempts.

On Karmic, I try to run IBM Java 6 and I have apparmor enabled for Firefox 3.5.
Testing with http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml
On first try after starting Firefox, I see just grey window where applet output
should be.

Hi, I've found problems during the startup of the system, after the login,
during the initialization of the application panel, it block everything without
reason.
It's happened the first time during the upgrade from ver. 8.10 to 9.04 .
I've found the bug in the meteo applet (the gadget to see

week. Sometimes it seems to happen when the computer is working hard, but
sometimes when the computer does almost nothing. It happens a lot when I use
Open Office.
If it can help, my computer is an inspiron 1525 laptop.

When you add a new theme with gnome-appearance-properties, it's not taken into
account by the apps you run as root.
It would be better if the root user had access to every users's themes by
default.

Me, too, on a Latitude D620 with Duo 2 CPU (2GHz), running 9.10 Karmic
(2.6.31-17-generic).
But with a twist.
After booting, cpufreq-info shows that all is well: the ondemand
governor is managing steps between 1GHz and 2GHz, the machine is humming
along, moving to higher or lower steps as
PS: CPU temp is not reaching a threshold that would trigger this
adjustment, I think.

I have the same issues on an XPS M1330 laptop with a digital microphone
and a front mic on an ABIT IX38 based system. Whenever I commit to the

If i do a clean install of 9.10 with a existing home drive, then connect
the home drive, there is not a new folder call downloads
If i do a clean install with no home drive i get a folder call
downloads,
it NOT a major issue as i can create a folder and map everything to
