The package for xinetd on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server does not come with
IPv6 enabled in the compile options, thus resulting in a package without

I patched qemu-kvm (0.12.3+noroms-0ubuntu9) with patch
(http://marc.info/?l=qemu-develm=127436114712437) and compiled but
still my 4TB partition corrupts.
I have setup where I have 4TB partition (from LVM) as a virtio-device in
qemu-kvm. I have LVM also inside virtual machine and having 4GB
try to patch qemu-kvm 0.12.4, seemed to me there were other changes
contributing to this fix in 0.12.4.
I verified that it works on gentoo

While I agree that the system should honour the chosen settings (so if you say

Just a note that the 0.8.1 release available in maverick gives me about
a 50-second save for a 512M memory image (producing 100M outfile). The
patch listed above and suspected of speeding the saves is not in 0.8.1.

on my lucid laptop either.
kvm itself doesn't crash - you can hit ctrl-alt-2 to go to the monitor, and type
'sendkey alt-sysrq-b' to reboot the vm for instance.

dandy. However, it would be nice to have it create raw images instead.

Apparently evtest only works for pointer devices while X isn't running.
Anyway, with X turned off temporarily I can get useful output from it.
Apparently this is a kernel issue, and not an X issue, since I can
replicate the bug without X.

Binary package hint: xinetd
The package for xinetd on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server does not come with
IPv6 enabled in the compile options, thus resulting in a package without
proper IPv6 support.
It is possible to fix this by adding a single line to the CFLAGS in the
`modprobe -r wacom` after unplugging the tablet doesn't seem to be
sufficient to reset things either

Very sorry, I don't think this is a direct result of my patch, but
perhaps a side effect of its installation. Are you sure that you cannot
start PulseAudio manually? Also you can re-enable the autostart by
typing the following, as long as you don't have any other options in
that file
