When booting with iBFT, the network configuration is performed by open-iscsi
as part of initramfs.local-top instead of by klibc-ipconfig. This includes
populating /run/net-*.conf which is consumed among other things, by cloud-init.
Unfortunately the problem is still there with this 4.11 kernel...
After initial install of the kernel and a suspend/resume it all seemed ok, but
then after leaving suspended overnight, the disk goes missing again, see

I was trying to add an existing LVM volume group as a storage pool in
virt-manager. I filled in the volume group name, then got to the dialog
with source and target path entries, didn't know what to put there[*],
so left them blank and hit Finish. I then got a popup with

use with libvirt 2.5.0 or 3.5.0; it switches the type of the console to
virtio, which allows machines to boot, but no kernel boot messages are
captured - the first output it the login prompt.

Apt already exits on SIGUSR1 thus even when u-u is not installed this

So, this is fixed in artful-proposed, I can backport a patch if you find the
exact commit that fixes the issue.
Unfortunately changes are too huge to cherry-pick a fix, unless the original
author can tell us exactly where to look.

If it's ASM1142 from comment #25, then it's different to ASM1042A (which
is used in TB16).
Also, ftrace won't do much here - as you can see the patch writes magic
values to registers, which only hardware vendor knows.

Yes, it works (had been running it for a few days now), but needed to download
a large file today and I noticed the speed dropped to +/- 100kbs, where,
switching to Andrés kernel, it have me +/- 700kbs (tried twice, same results,

Duplicity fails since a few weeks, have updated my desktop to Ubuntu
15.04 and cleaned up everything, de-installed Duplicity and re-installed
it, cleaned the harddrive from all old duplicity files but still won't

I tried to install ubuntu:
Intel NUC DE3815TYKE (G6YK423005CW SA H27002-401)
1) installation of Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.8.0-58-generic x86_64),
unstable
2) upgrade of bios from 0019 to the latest one 0060, unstable
3) downgrade of bios from 0060 to
Interestingly this bug has resurfaced in Ubuntu MATE 17.10. I have
tracked this does to `unity-gtk-module` which is loaded in Ubuntu MATE
17.10 but has not been used in prior releases.
If GTK_MODULES does not includes `unity-gtk-module` then this issue does
not present.

Hi Dave,
Thank you for going through this. I think it's OK if you want to keep
the set of dat files available in sync with the set available in the
development release. But then the changelog entry should make this
clear.
I expected the changelog entry to match the diff that I was reviewing.
One curious thing I note, probably irrelevant, is that after resume,
there is lots of stuff recorded in the logs that seem to be about
suspending.. e.g. Freezing remaing tasks after the computer has
resumed...
