Apologies for the extra notification, but the command:
rm -rf ~/.cache/gstreamer-1.0/
instantly resolved my issue. In that directory was a file
"registry.x86_64.bin" and after deleting it everything works perfectly
as before. Totem, gnome-sushi previews, everything.

sense. I'll update the approach: instead of using session_remove_fifo()
to add the session on GC, I'll use the DBus handler itself.

This issue was fixed in version 2.0 that was recently released so there
are two possible ways how to fix this in Ubuntu: 1. Use the version 2.0
(as freeze exception) after it will be available in Debian.; 2. Try to
fix the current Ubuntu version using the original fix from GitHub.

GDM doesn't accept mouse clicks in Wayland mode

I can reproduce the issue by unplugging and usb stick! When I plug it in
nothing special happens, but when I unplug it the bug appears
immediately. The same workaroud (switching VTs) resolves it temporarily.
It does not happen 100% of the time though. It did happen 4 times in a
row a few minutes
