For years now, everytime I install Wireshark on a computer running
Ubuntu I have to chmod +x /usr/bin/dumpcap. Is there no way to fix the

I just ran into this situation myself. After I received the error
report and let the upgrade recover, running the dpkg command gives me...
diversion by systemd-shim from:
/usr/share/dbus-1/system-services/org.freedesktop.systemd1.service
diversion by systemd-shim to:
I fixed the slow booting problem by editing "/etc/hdparm.conf" and
changing "apm_battery" value to "255". Now my laptop boots normally on
battery mode (same speed as plugged in AC).
Now, for the AER problem, just ignore it. Add pci=noaer as kernel boot
parameter.

Fresh/clean install of 18.04 resulted in hibernation working (after it
being broken on an upgrade install). Now after rebooting after recent
package upgrades (last 4-5 days) resuming from suspend/hibernate fails.
Have to force hard reboot
