Guys, you can't believe how happy I am with Intrepid. It feels very solid
and the display looks sharper too. But best of all, I'm now able to fully
trust the suspend/resume! I've tried all the previously failing scenarios
and more, and it works every time. Battery like is much better also.
I second that. I tested upgrading to the beta release when it first came
out, and the suspend/resume scenarios that previously failed were working
beautifully.

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

3D acceleration is visually OK.
User B logs in, glxgears says it runs at only 286 fps. But visually
it looks like it's not 3D
I agree ! This is a VERY big issue. Here, I have 2 laptops : my old one,
a core duo Macbook running Debian sid (1.25Go of RAM) and my brand new
Dell XPS M1530 (4Go of RAM).
On the end of the day, on the Macbook, NetworkManager eats nearly all
the RAM. On the end of the day, on the Dell XPS,

I've got the same kind of bug, but it appears that accessibility isn't
involved (for it's disabled).

Hi, I have se same bug, and its impossible to resolve it. I tried two
solutions:
- install another software to manage wifi networks (wicd), but it don't seems
to work properly (it crashes whatever I do)
- modify the configuration of gdm applets in gedit /etc/pam.d/gdm , but the
keyring manager
Idem, Fix works for me.

Why are you all posting syslogs ? Don't you understand that here you
have a *memory leak* which is generally a lack of some free()'s on some
pointers ?
Btw, it's seems to be an upstream bug, not a bug in Ubuntu.
I *really* don't think that posting a syslog message will help.

Note that I don't have a patch because I did not keep the original. You
can create the patch yourself and then apply it 8-)

ircd-irc2 hangs boot
with user:group irc:irc. This prevents it from
opening the .pid file (permission denied).
Thus, I changed the stop using the name of the exec rather than the .pid
file.
That works for me.
The changes are below.

/she wants to run 915resolution before to switch to X11. (i.e.
first time try without it and then re-try with it and it may just
magically work!)
I now run 915resolution in my boot process. Once I have a login prompt,
I can start X and it never fails.
Hope this helps other people...

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 63560 ***
I checked the Debugging X Auto-configuration page and I have a KVM. So
that's possibly what the problem is thought still, with 915resolution,
it works... And my monitor is a rather good one which works with really
high frequencies in 1280x1024.
