I still have that issue on LibreOffice (can't see the connection to the
Firefox problem). Fixing this is highly appreciated. LibreOffice seems
to be a little bit messed up in general, as it looks very crappy

because I got the same result of moved windows when I tried the
'minimize on launcher' patch (http://www.webupd8.org/2012/03/unity-with-

I also think that applications currently using root privileges
1. should have an optical identification
BUT 2. really should use the global menu/appmenu for consistency reasons.
Using the normal menu lets every application look crappy and I think
regarding 'design' it's a weak point
I still have this problem and I'm wondering why nobody else got it.
It's really annoying and if I had any programming/bug fixing skills I would do
it myself.

There was a seperate bug (#818726 ) for tabs in Firefox that was fixed. But for
it's still impossible to drag them to the first position in the bookmark bar (I
actually use a vertical bookmark on the left making it really cumbersome to add
a bookmark).

I think it seems to be related to Network Manager. I replaced it with
Wicd and shutdown/reboot is as fast as it used to be. And when you have
a look at the console text while shutting down you can see a lot of
lines concerning Network Manager. Still trying to log that text.

Why can't the Dash use regular buttons of the used theme? Would make it
a lot more consistent. I know themes like 'Adwaita' would be a little
bit to big, but for certain themes there could be adjusted buttons.

May be just stopping NetworkManager isn't enough. I did the replacement
with wicd on to different laptops and they are both fast at shutdowwn

Wouldn't it be possible to have the menu in the title bar of non-
maximized windows so it would be consistent with the menu always being
attached to the top of the window and save the space of a seperate menu.

could be browser related. The last time I wanted to change some settings
in Firefox. I'm on am64 Natty and I have a Lenovo SL500.

I'm very sure this is somehow associated with clicking something.
Might it be a link, an option in a program or starting the program by
the unity launcher link. Weired. And totally random.
