I confirm this bug only with Empathy (no problem with pidgin or
emesene). When I close this window Cairo-Dock considers that it's a
minimized window.
@ mac_v : do you use the last version of Cairo-Dock now ? (cairo-dock-2.0.9

I still have to use 'alsamixer -c 0' in order to activate the headphones output
with 0.9.16~test4-0ubuntu6.
With PA gnome applet (gnome-volume-control-pulse) I can change the connector to
'Analog Headphones'. But nothing more. I have to select 'Analog Output' and use
'alsamixer -c 0' to unmute.
Hi dompie,
I've reported this bug with an other : bug #409759 .
But if you want you can open another specially for this microphone problem.
Don't forget a reference to these bugs (here #252119 and #409759). 'File the

I think this bug is due to Qt !
If the option 'Integrate video in interface' is enabled and if I launch
vlc with this command :
$ export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 vlc
All is ok ! (I'm on Karmic Alpha 4 with VLC 1.0.1 Goldeneye)
I propose that the videolan team adds a new bug in Qt tracker

Hi mac_v,
Thanks to have reported this bug but can you give us some informations like
your distribution and architecture (Ubuntu 9.10 I think but 32bits or 64bits
?), your Desktop Manager (Gnome, KDE, XFCE,...) your Window Manager (Compiz,
Metacity, Kwin, etc.), if you use Cairo-Dock with or
I've attached the output from the terminal.
You can see that I click on the systray to open and close Empathy's
window.
Thanks Fab.

Cairo-dock always displays empathy contact list in the windows list
With the debug output we can see that the window is minimized.
Compiz effects confirm this behaviour: if I click on the button to
minimise or to close empathy contacts list window (or on Empathy's icon
on the systray) this window is minimised to the systray. But it seems
that this window isn't
@mac_v : Thank you. But can you confirm this comment if you are on
Karmic ? (with the last kernel 2.6.31 = this kernel have a support for
ATI Radeon graphics cards with the KMS (Kernel-based mode-setting))
I haven't any ATI card but I have transfered this message to our forum.
