ticked/unticked the sound menu option. Might be something similar. My
idea was that some indicators don't exactly fit the distro. I would try

Thanks Christopher for your help. I don't think it's related to the BIOS

1. Once I have a wireless connection, rebooting the computer makes a

Yes. If the update size is 60MB, I saw the download amount after the
Auto-update increase by 120 MB. I also saw a download activity on my
Wireless Network Adapter during the Auto-update. I think that the 'snap
tasks' commands show it also.
