and determine the bus and device number for your joystick

require 350mA, which your USB port should be able to supply unless you're using
an unpowered hub). When you connect your gamepad, after a couple of seconds run
dmesg | tail -n 25

This is fixed in version 6, for which I filed a sync request against
quantal (#995660). I'm not sure whether this can be applied to 12.04
too...
(Micah, the binary that the reporter mentioned is provided by gcc-
mingw-w64 in oneiric.)

version 5 of the gcc-mingw-w64 source package provides a gcc-mingw32
transitional binary package. To have the same kind of transition in
Precise would require syncing gcc-mingw-w64 from Debian unstable...
