Just to add to this that I've just installed 8.10 and the dinovo
mouse/keyboard work fine (after pressing the appropriate connect
buttons).
My only gripe is that there is a very bad lag on the mouse pointer - it
slowly follows the physical mouse, requiring the hand to always
compensate.

I had a pretty loaded machine a couple of days ago.
I've booted up. I have two mice attached to the machine, one dinovo the
other a usb mouse. The usb mouse works fine and fast. The dinovo mouse

disappeared - not too sure what to put it down to. It's a big machine
with dualcore, so it can't be processing power.

I did not realize this was a bug. I always had my virtual consoles at
VGA quality, not realizing that higher resolutions were possible, until
I experimented with different distros. When I started messing with
vga=XXX I got the blank screens.
The process below, similar to others, gets 1024x768
My output.

Just tried 'ifconfig eth1 running' and got a Host name lookup failure. If
I do 'hostname' I get the correct hostname and if I do a 'hostname -i' I get
the correct ip address.

As the developer of the new official libcapi20 i would be glad about the
integration in the new upcoming ubuntu release. This new version has
been successfully tested as well as in many test cases and officially in
OpenSuSE since version 11.1. Every reported bug has been fixed and is
integrated
