Here are some odd behaviors:
1) Muting volume w/the mute media key registers successfully. Waiting
at least ~ 3-5 seconds and unmuting *via the same media key* appears to
unmute but fails. unmuting via the panel app works as

That was unclear. What I meant is that doing so doesn't appear to do
anything, except freeze the nm-applet.

I'm having the same issue with ipw3945 on a Dell XPS m1330 -- initial
connection is good. Sometimes will recover a lost connection hiccup.

after a clean reinstall, my computer is indicating that pm-utils is
handling sleep and resume scripts. As well, it is setting a laptop-
mode hard-drive state via settings in /usr/lib/pm-utils/power.d/laptop-

is this bug cosmetic? I remember reading somewhere that someone from
Intel was insisting that the two cores cannot be set independently of

my point is that enabling laptop mode in acpi-support may be unnecessary
in the first place since pm-utils has its own hdd settings under
/usr/lib/pm-utils/power.d/laptop-tools which are already called. if

if I try to load audio data into Audacity, it fails halfway through and

good news! I have upgraded to kernel 2.6.24-23 and the other problems I
have been experiencing appear to be resolved. So I will now test for
this bug and report back on behavior:
1. let g-p-m put computer to sleep (suspend) automatically after 45 minutes
2. leave the computer asleep overnight
This has not been an issue for me on a fresh install of 9.10I am
asked only once per session for the keyring password.

i am running a fresh install of 9.10 on a Dell XPS M1330 laptop
getting two events per each keypress:

If the intention is to enable a apm setting of 128 when on battery, where is
the rationale and evidence explaining how
1. it actually protects the hdd from shocks
2. it actually saves power
3. evidence (even anecdotal) of drives overheating otherwise
my understanding and experience is that
try the following:
# sudo umount /media/[mount point]
for example
# sudo umount /media/disk1
that should unmount, which removes the drive icon from the desktop.
it's then safe to disconnect the drive. however, the mount point
folder in /media (e.g., /media/disk) will still be there and
echo Flames_in_Paradise
this is NOT a low priority bug -- this is a huge setback for anyone
with vision impairments. It is a fundamental ACCESSIBILITY issue. Just
because you can see the pointer just fine in its default setting doesn't
mean that many of your target audience can! Please have a

The functionality you added before feature freeze is exactly what i've been
looking for in a dedicated user-controlled print server. I can just set up
the different print queues as startup programs. thank you!!

does the workaround exist yet? is it possible to specificy a manual
fallback location in a config file if/when redshift fails to start?
ideally, if redshift starts without network access, would the program
fall back to its last known good location setting, and then wait for an
internet
