Yes, I have not debugged it, but it it looks very similar. I have done
some research, and I know that in current developement (non-beta)
versions this bug has been fixed. I use jabber.org, amessage.de,
jabber.hu, njs.netlab.cz and google as my servers, at least jabber.hu
and jabber.org support

this is not possible because Xgl doesn't support direct rendering (and
probably will not, because it will be replaced by AIGLX). try setting a
different screensaver. (eg. blank screen)

I think smartbattery support is an ubuntu patch, if not I'll report to
kenel.org.
So I think Smartbattery does not really work, because I tried , and
gnome-powermanager as well as an other battery charge indicator did not show
correct values: They staled at the point
oh yes! and the acpi DSDT fom initrd patch does not work either...
these are both problems I have experienced with as many ubuntu kernels as I
have tried, so I had to download from kernel.org and apply the patches myself.

well, I got a smartbattery, and I tried with acpi_sbs and wth fixed DSDT
and with ec_burst=*, but I just can not get the ac - battery - ac
events on my acer tm4001lmi. I do a cat /proc/acpi/events, but there are
no events at all. I also know that it shoud be working, because it
worked before both

It will be a while before I get a chance to test this bug. My computer has

Yes, this is also said in the above comments, usb flashdrives work, it's the
external usb hdds that don't eject properly.
(okay, maybe not in the above comments but in the comments of bug #63090 )

I'm pretty sure this is not a hardware driver issue, as I am
experiencing the same with an nvidia nforce chipset equipped HP
pavillion dv6120eu. Hope this is help!

Okay, I found some working policy files in the opensuse HAL package, I'm
not sure how clean this is, or whether it'll blow up something (I'd
think not as they use the same version of HAL), so here are the files,
