I think I found out the problem: GRUB is in the other partition, which is a
Jaunty. I'm currently using GRUB2, and I thought by doing update-grub it would
update the kernel too on the other partition - but it didn't; I was still
loading .28 kernel. I've edited grub.cfg and I'm going to test it

The Broadcom STA kernel module “wl.ko” is not loadable on a reasonably
recent karmic installation (updates as of yersterday) because of unknown
symbols. “modprobe wl.ko” does not load the module with a rather generic
error message and the kernel log yields:

it is from startup and not necessarily to do with paragraph length.

issue, and every new kernel keeps turning up with the same bug, I locked
the kernel version in Synaptic so that no kernel versions after
2.6.24.19 were installed. Worked fine for me until recently, when I

It was perfectly working (and it was very easy to setup).
OK, applied patch to 173.14.20 and it runs equally well. I'm running it

I had this problem occur during an update,and install.Iwas trying to
install in a terminal,however,trying to do it this way results in not
being able to accept the liscence agreement.I solved this by installing
using synaptic package manager.Me bad.

I too have encountered this issue. After upgrading to Ubuntu-9.4, I have
observed that the FF-3.0.11 crashes whenever the page has audio/video
content no file is created in /var/crash by default.
