На ubuntuforums.org тогда был большой раздел, посвящённый ubuntu на
железе от Apple.
У меня был не ноут, так что насчёт времени автономной работы ничего не

Уж поверь, установить все нужные драйвера/примочки (для регулировки
яркости, например)
на линукс будет куда сложнее, нежели доставить недостающее на макось.

не работает. и не работал. его тупо нет. ставить только из hombrew или
macports, github и т.д.
Поэтому и спрашиваю насколько сильно придется допиливать. Возможно проще
