I again faced this problem while on Hardy Heron 8.04.2
I was watching an mkv file using Totem in full screen mode when suddenly
everyting freezed. I used Alt+Tab to switch between them. Then used kill
command to force kill Totem
The syslog didnt show much useful info other than
[ 6310.651768]
window
will appear, from that select Window List and click Add.
This should do the job. Hope it helps.
Additionally he can add Workspace switcher and Trash to make it look
more like earlier.

Another awesome thing is the speed of file operations. I took me 2 secs
just to delete a 700MB file. I had a valve folder which contains CS,
which it deleted instantly. I was thinking that this operation would
take ages like in XP/Vista... :)

I too tried installing Jaunty Betaon VirtualBox with Network
enabled. The installation took so long, that I had to click Cancel and
force shut down the VM. Next time before booting, I disabled the
network.
The question is that when I chose english, then why is it trying to get

installing and was hoping to get an error box or a hanged

I agree with Vishal,
Many of us still have to pay for bandwidth usage per MB. I currently live in
India where I have 1 GB monthly cap. It might seem funny, but its reality in
developing countries. If I exceed my usage then I am charged Rs. 0.90/MB where
conversion rate is 1USD= 46INR
The user

I too agree with you. The installer should tell explicitly that its going to
use the internet connection and tell what is wants to do with the connection.
What packages it want to download.
It should not proceed without confirming from the user whether he wants to
download them or not.
allow the installer to
connect the internet.
I again repeat the above line since bandwidth is one of the two main
issues, first being the installer connecting to the internet without
user's consent.

I don't think this comes under Bugs. It can be a request to make the new
version available in repos.
Hardy comes with Geany 0.13 and Intrepid with 0.14. I think this is enough.

Am using 0.13 and I can easily type 99 above which its not allowed.
Did you mean that you can type above 5 digits, but cant jump above 5
