Well... after more than five (!) years (are there awards for longest
standing bugs anywhere?), I noticed I'm not visiting that many sites
anymore which use Java. And when I do visit them, Java is not working at
all most of the time (e.g. map24.com - interactive map). At least we've
gone from

the visibility to public? Or are you certain there's no sensitive data

Seems like I've got version 2.3.7-1~getdeb1 installed now. I started all over
again from mission 1 a few months ago and I played all the way to the last
campaign without noticing the crash mentioned above. So I guess you can mark
this one fixed.

of iTunes. Both Rhythmbox and Bansee are quite capable replacements of

Every time I undock and then dock may laptop, NM asks me for private key for
this connection.
It doesn't actually forget key, because if I simply relogin it will perfectly

amixer shows only 'Mic' 'Internal Mic' 'Line In' as possible Input Sources.
alsamixer also allows only these three options.
And gnome volume control (pulseaudo, I guess) too.
So I have to plug-in my mic to laptop instead of dock if I want to use
microphone (e.g. for skype).

Frantique, have you tried forcing the device to USB1 instead of USB2? I
have mine plugged into an USB1 hub and after removing and re-probing
uvcvideo, Cheese displayed a perfect image. Of course it's still a bug
that the module has to be re-probed manually...

the USB1 hub and plugging the cam directly into my PC. So this means a
small step forward - no more USB1 required. But the re-probe is still

Adding the url of my internet radio station (

Well, I can't tell because I'm not running Hardy anymore. I got so sick
of these issues I finally turned compiz off. Switched to Jaunty 2 months
ago (Ubuntu Studio) and I'm not using compiz since it interferes with
audio production.

vdr-plugin-burn depends on non-existent packages
Just tried again with the Kubuntu Jaunty final release - no more
problems. I do see a garbled screen for a short period when starting up
(Ubuntu 9.04 does this as well, so it's probably an X.org issue), but
that's a different problem.

Actually, it appears that gnome-app-install doesn't actually crash (or
at least, not the GUI). It does happen over and over again though, as

Distorted video (and
...where part of the flickering portion remains on-screen after the menu
is closed in VDR - so apparently V4L2/xawtv or the X drivers are trying
to do some clever stuff here that goes wrong somehow.
Insights required on how to proceed further debugging this - thanks in
