[Bug 46156] Re: Quanta with wrong language (English)

2007-04-17 Thread Carlos Perelló Marín
Yeah, seems like the exported .po files are broken so we cannot compile
them as .mo files.

We are still investigating how's that we get broken .po files...

[Bug 46156] Re: Quanta with wrong language (English)

2007-04-17 Thread Carlos Perelló Marín
We are exporting files with errors like:

href=\
mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]sequit
[EMAIL PROTECTED]/a

Danilo, please, could you take a look?

** Changed in: rosetta (upstream)
Assignee: Carlos Perelló Marín = Данило Шеган
   Status: Unconfirmed = Confirmed

** Changed in: rosetta (upstream)
   Importance: Undecided = High

** Summary changed:

- Quanta with wrong language (English)
+ Broken .po file format export for Quanta

** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: quanta
+ Quanta has a message that Launchpad exports using a broken format:

- After the update today (May 23) Quanta all of the sudden is in English,
- all the other KDE-Programs are still German (which is set as language in
- SystemSettings).
+ href=\
+ mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]sequit
+ [EMAIL PROTECTED]/a
+
+
+ That should be:
+
+ href=\
+ mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]sequit
+ [EMAIL PROTECTED]/a
+
+ But seems like our export wraps on the escaped quotes instead of the
+ actually ending quote.
+
+ The full error log is:
+
+ ./data/de/LC_MESSAGES/quanta.po:2068: end-of-line within string
+ ./data/de/LC_MESSAGES/quanta.po:2004: missing `msgstr' section
+ ./data/de/LC_MESSAGES/quanta.po:2068:9: parse error
+ ./data/de/LC_MESSAGES/quanta.po:2068: keyword sequitur unknown
+ ./data/de/LC_MESSAGES/quanta.po:6387: end-of-line within string

2007-04-17 Thread Sam Liddicott
I think the problem was related to Bug #105055

I think the actual bug must be something like when pydance receives two down
events for the same button without an intervening up,
at least now I have patched my kernel module ot solve bug #105055, and my two
dance mats appear as seperate joysticks again, pydance is behaving fine.

We can probably close this bug, and hope that 105055 hits feisty.

[Bug 95329] Re: Rhythmbox doesn't allow horizontal resizing of the window when loaded

2007-04-17 Thread patfm
I have this problem in Dapper; here's a piece of info I haven't seen in
this thread:

It seems to be the case that the resizeability depends on the length of
the title of what is being played.

On this particulary (highly recommended, hehe) web radio stream, the
title is very long:

(#2) SomaFM: Drone Zone (128k mp3): Served best chilled, safe with most
medications. Atmospheric textures with minimal beats.

http://somafm.com/dronezone.pls

If I run that url, Rhythmbox refuses to shrink (looks like the
screenshot above). If I switch to something with a short title, resizing
is ok.

Well, that's just the Linux/Debian way. Whenever a server package is

Marking this for a Stable Release Update. This package isn't on CDs, so
wont affect upgrades/installs (upgrades will get nvidial-glx, or will
eventually be able to get the updated package once we fix it).

NB that l-r-m-kernel *is* on the CDs (the package that ships the

Just for the record and for future bug triage: l-r-m now ships the

I love this email program but sometimes it lacks behind Kmail or even

Any plan to upgrade it at par with the others? I do not use Exchange so
such server compatibility is not an issue for me.

Please let me know.

But i tried to follow the hal debug output directions, but it doesnt

[Bug 37288] Re: Bluetooth not discovered on Dell Inspiron 9400

2007-04-17 Thread Ketil Malde

Oh. The link to Dell is not the correct file, it should probably be

http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=usl=ens=genreleaseid=R117967formatcnt=1libid=0fileid=156024

instead. Again, 'unzip R117967.EXE', 'cd 2KXP/DFU', and 'dfutool verify
bt_if.dfu' gives:

  Filesize710386
  Checksum544e93f5

  DFU suffix 22 24 03 81 3c 41 00 01 55 46 44 10 f5 93 4e 54

  idVendor413c
  idProduct 8103
  bcdDevice 2422

  bcdDFU 1.0
  ucDfuSignature DFU
  bLength 16
  dwCRC 544e93f5

  Firmware type CSR-dfu1
  Firmware check valid checksum

However, 'dfutool upgrade bt_if.dfu' claims:

  Scanning USB busses ...
  Can't find any DFU devices

Any ideas?

[Bug 107195] Can reach only a few website

2007-04-17 Thread Michele Costantino Soccio
Public bug reported:

When I use the Feisty Fawn Beta I can reach only a few website: for example I
can easily reach all the Google website but I cannot reach other popular sites
(eg. Ubuntu) and my own Modem/Router web panel. After a few seconds Firefox
says there was a problem with the connections, while the apt-get never gets
time out.
I tried the Feisty Fawn Beta with three different connection:

* desktop with a wired connection (Realtek chip)
* laptop with a wireless connection (Intel chip)
* same laptop with a wired connection (Broadcom chip)

The name resolution (DNS) works fine and also the ping works well, so maybe it
is only a problem regarding TCP connections.
The two computers work fine with Edgy and Dapper in both live and installed
environments, and they have all the same problem with Feisty. I also tried a
daily build (Apr 14 2007) with no success.
I tried with both static IP Address and DHCP configuration. I can easily reach
the other computers in my network, but I cannot reach my own router/modem. I
suspect there is some strange compatiblity issue between the Feisty networking
and my Modem/Router.
My Modem/Router is a Sagem [EMAIL PROTECTED] 3001, and never had any problem.
It works well with Dapper, Edgy and many other Linux Distribution. It even
works with that buggy OS called Windows.
I think it is a bug related with the new release of our favourite OS.
Please, tell me some instructions in order to provide you as much informations
as possible.

[Bug 107093] Re: firefox crashed

2007-04-17 Thread Cesare Tirabassi
Hola Hilario,

my apologies; I have included this info upstream and forgot to mention
it here:

The firefox profile is the standard one, I have not added any extension,
plug-in or theme.

As I mentioned the problem is a freeze, not a crash: no exceptions are
raised, no signals exchanged, no core dump.

The freeze is random and not reproducible; some sites (notably
launchpad) lead to more frequent freezes. Most of the freezes are during
a download, but not always.

Anything you can suggest to obtain more info? Perhaps some
breakpoint/catchpoint/watchpoint/tracepoint I can set in gdb to try to
collect some useful data?

Just checked the upstream bug link. It hasn't even been assigned to

like it's going to get fixed anytime soon.

[Bug 106804] Re: update-manager free space check broken when /var/cache/apt/archive is a symlink

2007-04-17 Thread Michael Vogt
Here is a patch that should work. Please test it with the following commands:
$ mkdir /tmp/upgrader
$ cd /tmp/upgrader
$ wget
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/feisty/main/dist-upgrader-all/current/feisty.tar.gz
$ tar xzvf feisty.tar.gz
$ patch -p1  symlink-fix.diff
$ sudo ./feisty

and let me know if it fixes the issue.

Thanks,
 michael

[Bug 107197] Mplayer won't play full-screen video running Rhythmbox

2007-04-17 Thread Alessandro
Public bug reported:

Mplayer works fine untill i play a song with rhythmbox. After that
mplayer works, but it cannot play full-screen video. If i want to wacht
a file in full-screen mode i've to close rhythmbox.

My /.mplayer/config file is empty. I don't use special options for it.
I've this problem since 6 weeks. Till 6 weeks ago i was able to watch
files in full-screen mode also running parallel Rhythmbox

I report following the error lines.

This is a part of the console output, that i receive when mplayer works
with full-screen mode:

==
open: No such file or directory
Couldn't open: /dev/mga_vid
open: No such file or directory
Couldn't open: /dev/mga_vid
[VO_TDFXFB] This driver only supports the 3Dfx Banshee, Voodoo3 and Voodoo 5.
[VO_3DFX] Unable to open /dev/3dfx.

This is a part of the console output, that i receive when mplayer
doesn't works with full-screen mode:

[VO_3DFX] Unable to open /dev/3dfx.
Xv: could not grab port 65
Could not find free Xvideo port - maybe another process is already using it.
Close all video applications, and try again. If that does not help,
see 'mplayer -vo help' for other (non-xv) video out drivers.
==

Is it a bug or just an error of my pc?
