[Ubuntu-phone] Oxide web browser and Nextcloud
Hello, I noted some problems using Ubuntu touch web browser (Oxide engine) on Nextcloud. It is impossible to download files, (all is well with other browsers/platforms). I have better described the issue on nextcloud forum: https://help.nextcloud.com/t/nc-on-ubuntu-touch-browser-error-in-sabredav-when-downloading-file/4904 I have not opened a ticket, because I would prefer to open it towards the right project (Ubuntu touch or Nextcloud)? Things are still not right, though. Outgoing mail is sent OK but not saved on the IMAP server, despite having set up a "Sent" folder. My mailboxConfig.json looks like this (where matches the only entry left in dekko.dekkoproject.conf): - { "": { "global": { "archive": { "enabled": false, "folder": "", "format": "monthly", "keepMboxStructure": false }, "deleted": { "autoExpunge": false, "markRead": true, "moveToTrash": true, "preserveFlagged": false }, "drafts": { "saveDraftInterval": 1000, "saveLocal": true, "saveToDrafts": false }, "draftsMailbox": "", "sentMailbox": "Sent", "submission": { "allowRetries": false, "bcc": "", "cc": "", "includeBCC": false, "includeCC": false, "includeSignature": "always", "quoteOriginalMessage": true, "replyQuotePosition": "before", "saveToImap": true }, "trashMailbox": "Trash" } } } - I can see the contents of the "Sent" folder just fine, and deleted mail is moved to the "Trash" folder as expected. I spotted a line in dekko.dekkoproject.conf, "saveToImapEnabled=false", but changing that setting to true had no effect. I couldn't find a matching bug report - is this new, or just me doing something wrong? Same here. The mailbox behaviour file in my case was missing names for some folders, notably 'Sent' 'Drafts' and 'Trash'. I edited the file completing the missing names, and changing some boolean switch, and now all is fine. I will comment in the bug report asap. I add here below my current file (the inner part only for the IMAP_SMTP account ): "global": { "archive": { "enabled": false, "folder": "", "format": "monthly", "keepMboxStructure": false }, "deleted": { "autoExpunge": false, "markRead": false, "moveToTrash": true, "preserveFlagged": false }, "drafts": { "saveDraftInterval": 1000, "saveLocal": true, "saveToDrafts": true }, "draftsMailbox": "Drafts", "sentMailbox": "Sent", "submission": { "allowRetries": false, "bcc": "", "cc": "", "includeBCC": false, "includeCC": false, "includeSignature": "never", "quoteOriginalMessage": true, "replyQuotePosition": "after", "saveToImap": true }, "trashMailbox": "Trash" --- rob -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone Post to : ubuntu-phone@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Today, I also had to press it 4-5 times on a few occasions. I don't see that on my Bq, or not at least identically. Occasionally I find myself pressing the button the second time so that it immediately darkens the screen away. I'm not sure but there may be something racy going on so that the next immediate press again just wakes up the screen and immediately turns it off again. But if I wait 1-2 seconds before I press the second (/third) time, it works as it should. Most of the time however the first press works correctly for me and without delay. Same here, not an issue at all in my case. Scrolling in general is often accompanied by screen lag. The Unity 8 scrolling is still not smooth, I agree. If you do a smooth scrolling gesture, there are hickups here and there. Browser seems better to me, to the extent it does not bother me if the page is fully loaded, but still not perfect. Same impression; smoothness is not exceptional, but good. Very good in browser and webapps. Starting the message service is still very slow. It takes a few seconds before the messages turn up, then 10+ seconds until the phone numbers are converted to names from the address book. After this you can select a message thread, but you have to wait another few seconds before it turns up on the screen. Entering the message is also frequently accompanied by lag. Then, when you send the message, you usually have to hit the send icon at least twice and wait another3-4 seconds for there to be a visible result. It seems 3 seconds to start on my Bq (too slow, but we need to wait for further app startup improvements), but names are up in 2 seconds after that. Opening a thread takes 1 second. 3 seconds, 1 second here. Not too bad, but I do not use SMS very often. I've about 200 names in address book and a few tens of message threads. 1200 names, few tens here. It would be interesting to know where the differences come from. Maybe simply the amount of message threads or the amount of messages, I don't have too many of those. Yes, we should try to compare behaviour in similar conditions, or taking in account differences. rob -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone Post to : ubuntu-phone@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Roberto Resoli experienced the same on his earpiece so it seems a common error. I can confirm this error when using the bq in combination with scala q3 (bluetooth for within motorcycle helmet) I have to press the button again to pickup / drop the phone before it works... Also changing the audio source on the phone screen from bluetooth to phone / speaker and then back to bluetooth doesn't do much so seems to be a small bug somewhere in the system ? Since this seems a common behaviour over different kinds of bluetooth devices, maybe it is convenient to file a bug somewere. Any hint? rob -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone Post to : ubuntu-phone@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

When a call is coming (I can hear the rigtone in the earpice), I can pick it doing a single click on the device; call audio is muted. I have to do a second, longer click to activate it. I don't know if this is the expected behaviour, but with my old Nokia (non smart)phone the second click wasn't neeeded. bye, rob -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone Post to : ubuntu-phone@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

If you have many vcf, put them in a directory e pass the directory as --import argument In my case I had a single vcf per contact, so i iterated the command over the entire fileset.
