Hi Serge, Thank you for your insights. I did aptitude full-upgrade and was indeed annoyed by hung apt/dpkg processes running without a terminal attached. Also, there were whiptail processes stuck in an endless loop. Unfortunately, the entire system kind of crashed (only ping from outside worked)
