I fixed the sound issue, by this:
Edit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf as root and add options
snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0 at the end of this file.

PS. python-is-python3 package adds the missing link, and will make your
'/usr/bin/env: ‘python’: No such file or directory' error go away. But only
helps for plugins that will work with

I recently upgraded from Ubuntu Studio 16.04 to 18.04. Some things got
reset and need changing back to how I want.
I want the calendar to start on Sunday, and managed to get that done by
editing en_GB locale file, making first weekday = 1.
But, now in all other programs, the date formats are

It could be your entries in fstab. If they refer to the UUID of a partition,
and that UUID has changed, but fstab is now out of date, it would need updating
with the correct UUID.
You can find these out by using gparted, perhaps run from a live DVD.

Any strange settings in /etc/security/ ?
I am not sure what I should be looking for in regards to these. But

started, so I have now booted into Kernel Linux 3.2.0-56-lowlatency again.
Do you think that there is a bug in the later kernel?
