Recently all my audio disappeared in Ubuntu Studio 21.10 with KDE desktop.
It all worked fine until today, and now there is no audio. I installed
Kmix and the sound came back, but in the KDE System Settings program it
no longer lists any section for Audio, which was there before.

I fixed the sound issue, by this:
Edit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf as root and add options
snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0 at the end of this file.

I still use my 32-bit netbook, it requires a 32-bit OS, and I have tried
several based on Ubuntu. All work well, and if no more 32-bit OS then it

It could be your entries in fstab. If they refer to the UUID of a partition,
and that UUID has changed, but fstab is now out of date, it would need updating
with the correct UUID.
You can find these out by using gparted, perhaps run from a live DVD.

I am using Ubuntu Studio 14.04, and when using Digikam it keeps freezing
at startup. The progress bar at the bottom of the window gets so far and
then stops, and nothing responds in the program. I was using version 3.5
and in that it got as far as 91% and then froze.
So I uninstalled 3.5 and

document, I turned my laser printer on and I was told it was a new
printer. I checked my installed printers and everything in the list had
vanished. It was able to install and configure the laser printer okay
and let me use it,
