I have the same issue on Ubuntu 16.04 4.4.0-34-generic and Lenovo x260
If it was suspended with two screens, it would not wake up.

Update: During the issue, the following commands showed that the mouse's
button1 (left button) was pressed, so the action info passes the driver:
