Not only same video issue as others on Trusty with Nvidia 340.102 driver
for GEForce 8400GS, but am also unable to log in.Entering PW just keeps
flipping me back to "Enter PW box". Old 112 kernel works just fine so I
will stick with that until a fix is available.

Tested the scilab 5.5.2 for ubuntu which works great.
However, I did not test it before applying the jogl2 patch :-o.

Very similar situation here, however:
In my case there is absolutely no prediction of crashing. It just
happens: instant shutdown followed by automatic reboot. Nothing to be
seen in the logs. Happens under
Judging by past releases, there should be an upstream version 1.10.1
probably in the near future.
I'm not sure if we need to patch this earlier than that...
